Busy Bunny

“I’m late and when I wave, I lose the time I save.”-The Rabbit

The awfully stressed and hurried rabbit has time to say that he does not have time to wave, for times sake of course. He is in such a hurry that he loses his manners and rushes about clumsily dropping items and forgetting things. He is so wrapped up in his mission that he doesn’t even realize that he addresses Alice as his house maid. If the rabbit had not been hurrying about and rushing through everything he was doing for fear of being executed by the Queen, would Alice have followed him down the hole? Now yes I know that we have all finished the book and know it was all a dream ,but still, would it have caught her attention to have just seen a calm white rabbit scurrying about and not speaking of his worries?

Perhaps if the rabbit had been more cautious he would not have caused quite a scene as often as he did. And i find it odd that although he did not have time to wave, he did have time to mess around with the quite overgrown Alice whom he found in his house. I understand it would be a rare site to see, especially inside one’s house, but if he was so worried about losing his head shouldn’t he had hurried along and left the towns folk to deal with Alice?

Often we become so absorbed by one thing we are completely oblivious to another. This causes neglect and we usually wear ourselves out through frustration and stress. Perhaps if we simply slow things down every once in a while we would be able to coast by day-to-day easier and stress free.
